The Our Ocean Wealth conference will take place at the National Maritime College of Ireland and the new Beaufort Building on Friday, 10th July 2015. This conference attracts representatives of the marine industry from all over the world, including investors, entrepreneurs and industry organisations that will convene to hear from an exciting line up of industry experts, events and lectures.
There will be six parallel sessions (see agenda below) including a workshop organised by Focal Point Ireland:
Implementing the Atlantic Action Plan – Opportunities for SMEs
The Atlantic Strategy was launched by the European Commission in late 2011 to identify key challenges and opportunities to create jobs and foster economic development. This parallel session will be aimed towards the marine SMEs working in the Atlantic area. SMEs have an important contribution to make in the implementation of the Atlantic Action Plan and this workshop will offer them a chance to learn more about these opportunities.
What can you expect from this session? The participation of the European Commission (DG MARE) will provide great focus to this session as we discuss SMEs and the Atlantic Action Plan. The session will offer information about both the public and private funding programmes including speakers from funding initiatives and also representatives from SMEs that have been successful in accessing these funds. The session will finish off with a panel discussion exploring the potential opportunities and provide practical tips for any SMEs looking to perusing these.
We look forward to the participation of any SME looking to get involved in the Atlantic Action Plan on the 10th July.
Visit us at the exhibition stand all day. You can also organise a one on one discussion with Focal Point Ireland throughout the event by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
