Projects are expected to deliver tangible and visible results relatively quickly and show how research and innovation can provide concrete solutions for the Green Deal main priorities.

  • Enhanced Safety Scheme

    BIM’s Enhanced Safety Training Scheme is a 1-day course designed to provide the skipper and crews of registered fishing vessels with on-going training in personal survival techniques, first aid, fire fighting, and health and safety in the workplace

    The following rates apply in every case: - Vessels less than 15 metres in length (LOA): 1-day Enhanced Safety Training course including a Personal Flotation Device fitted with a Personal Locator Beacon: €155 - Vessels 15 metres and greater in length: 1-day Enhanced Safety Training course including a Personal Flotation Device fitted with a Personal Locator Beacon: €190

  • Fishing gear & energy efficiency

    This application should be used for projects relating to: • investments in equipment or on board aimed at reducing the emission of pollutants of greenhouses gases and increasing energy efficiency • new fishing gear contributing to energy efficiency • engine replacements and modernisations

  • Follow-on Funding Pathfinder call

    Aims to provide funding for commercial activities such as: • Commissioning expert advice from sector specialists on the best commercial development strategy for a business idea • Completing a market assessment to determine likely potential, competition and opportunities
